Products from The Totally Usable Bird
Unlike many of the animals raised for meat today, Dromaius Novaehollandiae (emu) is totally usable. Food by-products include the fat (oil), feathers, claws, leather and un-hatched or infertile eggs. Even the bones are used in some craft projects. Very little of the emu will go into a land fill.
